Job Description
Reports to Vice President of Sales
As Sales Director, you will be the primary client interface for all subscription services for companies within the territory. Activities include:
- Subscription and report sales to all prospects and clients in the region
- Renewing and up-selling existing clients, setting up sales meetings, traveling to clients for in person meetings, webex and phone meetings
- Finding new clients and growing the client base
- Attend industry trade shows
- Help develop new services with input from client base
- Forge and maintain relationships with equipment manufacturers, service providers, and investment analysts
Qualifications
This full-time, permanent position requires at least 5 years' telecom industry experience, a BA/BS, and:
- Experience selling market research or similar types of services
- Experience building long-term relationships
- Solid understanding of the telecom and datacom industry
- Polished written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, sales databases, Webex, and general Web
- Generally be good with technology and numbers
- Affinity for working on a dynamic team

Reports to CEO
As Industry Analyst, you will lead and help shape a technology coverage area and act as chief spokesperson and client interface for all related services. Working with a skilled research team the Industry Analyst will:
- Identify and cover technology and market trends for your coverage area through vendor and service provider briefings and primary and secondary research
- Develop and expand the coverage area by adding new services, expanding client base
- Produce worldwide and regional supply-side research reports on emerging and mature product segments in your technology coverage area, determining market size and market share, forecasting growth, and providing short-term and long-term market analysis, including fundamental drivers
- Provide constant expert opinion addressing the hottest topics in the industry, including surveys on hot topics and vendor ratings in our Continuous Research Services
- Consult for key industry players-including startups, well-established industry leaders, and financial analysts
- Develop new research services to provide our customers with the market data and analysis they need
- Develop and sell custom research projects for key players in your technology coverage area
- Forge and maintain relationships with equipment manufacturers, service providers, and investment analysts
- Speak at conferences and present key data findings to customers
- Develop relationships with the trade and business press, raising awareness of our services and brand
Next gen OSS coverage includes:
- Service delivery platforms (SDPs)
- Subscriber data management (SDM)
- Policy servers

Qualifications
This full-time, permanent position requires at least 5 years’ telecom industry experience, a BA/BS, and:
- Expertise in broadband technologies, vendors, service providers, and market trends
- Strong relationships with equipment manufacturers, service provider, chip and component manufacturers, investment community, channels
- Solid analytic, logic, and quantitative skills
- Experience sizing and forecasting technology markets
- Polished written and oral communication, including public speaking
- Key relationships with industry associations, press, and conference developers
- Microsoft Excel expertise

This includes research on telecom and data networking equipment manufacturers, service providers, and small, medium, and large business plans and requirements for various hot technologies, including VoIP, broadband, IPTV, network security, and mobile, wired, wireless, metro Ethernet, and optical networks.
Tasks include:
- Conduct primary and secondary research on a variety of telecom and data networking technologies, products, services, vendors, and service providers
- Develop relationships with product manufacturers and service providers in the telecom/datacom market to facilitate primary research
- Support Principal/Directing Analysts in the creation of market size, market forecasts, and market analysis in a wide variety of telecom and data networking markets
Qualifications
This full-time, permanent position requires a BA/BS in a related field and:
- Expert analytic, logic, and quantitative skills
- Polished written and oral communication
- Experience conducting primary or secondary research using a variety of tools (phone surveys, Web, publicly available documents)
- Strong Excel experience
